The Hip Society is proud to sponsor a grant to encourage young investigators in the area of hip disease. Interested individuals must be an orthopaedic surgeon working at an institution in the United States or Canada under the age of 45 (on 11/1/06) who have demonstrated a strong interest in surgical management of the hip. The purpose of the grant is to provide seed money of $25,000 to $50,000 for a project that can be completed in a one to two year time frame. Funds may not be used for salary support and the grant will not provide for overhead expense payable to any institution. Applications for this award must include appropriate biographical information, study proposal and proposed budget. A panel of Orthopaedic Surgeons from the Hip Society will review all grant proposals and make funding recommendations. The recipient will be expected to make an annual progress report until study completion. A grant application can be downloaded (Word Document) by Clicking Here.
