THE PURPOSE OF THE HIP SOCIETY SHALL BE:

1. The Hip Society shall provide a forum to stimulate the exchange of knowledge regarding the hip based on the cornerstones of research, education and patient care. 

2. The Hip Society shall be an opinion leader in all aspects of hip disease by sponsoring basic science and clinical research, providing state of the art educational venues and assisting in the development of evidence-based treatment protocols. 

3. The Hip Society also shall set as one of its primary objectives patient advocacy and shall be involved in healthcare policy as it relates to hip disease.
